MPT - Math Placement Test - UNB Fredericton - Winter 2011

Students registered in MATH1003 are required to take UNB's Mathematics Palcement Test, MPT.

The Math Placement Test will be written

at 6:30 pm on Wednesday January 5, 2011.

in Tilley 404.

Bring your UNB student number.

Calculators are not permitted at the MPT.

Pre-calculus review problems and sample MPT problems

Some students have been exempted from writing the MPT.

Here are the ways to be exempted:

• Your UNB transcript shows pass (C or better) in any UNB MATH course.
• Your UNB transcript shows that you once failed MATH1003.

If you are not sure about whether you have to write the MPT then WRITE THE TEST. Exemptions will be honoured.

All students are permitted two* attempts at the Math Placement Test.
Only MPT re-write time:

Friday January 7, at 12:30 pm in Tilley 404.

* If you miss the January 5 writing of the MPT, then you will have just one chance to pass, on January 7.

Results will be sent to your UNB email account.
