MPT - Math Placement Test - UNB Fredericton - Fall 2011

Faculty		Test location
Computer Science		Room C127, Gillin Hall.
Kinesiology		last name starting A - M, Room A116, Lady Beaverbrook Gym.
		last name starting N - Z, Room C210, Lady Beaverbrook Gym.
All other faculties		Main Gym, Lady Beaverbrook Gym.

• You must arrive early.
  
• Bring your UNB student number (which can be found on on any letter from UNB or on your brand new student ID card).
  
• Calculators are not permitted at the MPT.
  
• Pre-calculus review problems and sample MPT problems
  

Some students have been exempted from writing the MPT.
If you know that you have been exempted from writing the MPT then please do not write the test.
(Spend the time strolling around our beautiful campus.)

Here are the ways to be exempted:

• You earned at least 70% on a special province-wide Math122 or Math120 exam written in your high school in the preceding academic year, and your teacher notified UNB. *
• You passed UNB's Calculus Challenge Exam. *
• Your UNB transcript shows pass (C or better) in any UNB MATH course.
• Your UNB transcript shows that you once failed MATH1003.

All students are permitted two attempts at the Math Placement Test.
Placement Test re-write time:

Monday September 12, 2011, at 4:30 pm in T102 (Tilley Hall Auditorium).
If you have a lab that runs late, then go to Tilley Hall 404 in time to write at 5:30 pm.
