The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers programs of study leading to both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. Together with the Department of Physics it operates the Program in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics leading to the M.Sc. degree. One of the active research areas of the department is Relativity and Related Topics. The Relativity Group is comprised of the following members of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics:
