The Atlantic Association for Research in the Mathematical Sciences (AARMS) collaborative research group (CRG) on the Mathematical and physical aspects of black holes was formed in September 2015. The group consists of:
The principal goal of the CRG is to foster new research projects on black holes that combine the expertise of researchers in Atlantic Canada with that of internationally recognized scientists.

The CRG plans to organize a one week summer school/workshop to be held in the summer of 2017 in conjunction with the annual Atlantic General Relativity conference.
